Leda M. Pérez leda_perez Leda M. Pérez is a professor and researcher affiliated to the Department of Social and Political Sciences at the Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, Peru. Her present research is focused on the intersection of social and labor rights with gender, ethnicity/race and social class. Of particular interest are paid domestic workers and other special labor regimes. In addition to this study, Leda has also published on the health access and health rights of vulnerable populations. She teaches courses in political science and on women and development.

Leticia Neria Leticia Neria Leticia Neria is currently a lecturer in the History Department at UNAM, and teaches a course there on Mass Media and History. She also teaches courses on Mexican Culture and on Verbal Expression at Tec de Monterrey - Campus Estado de México. She received her PhD from the University of St Andrews, Scotland with a dissertation on humour as political resistance. Her main interests are humour, visual culture, narrative analysis and mass media.

Her research explores space, dictatorship, visuality and modernity. She received her PhD in 2011 from the University of London and has lectured in Venezuela and the UK. Melissa Rogers lissaz23 Melissa Ziegler Rogers is an Assistant Professor at Claremont Graduate University. She received her PhD at the University of California (San Diego) in 2010 for her dissertation on state capacity in Argentina’’s provinces. Her work focuses primarily on regional political economy, with a particular focus on the interaction between regional inequality and political institutions.

Lorraine Keeler lorrainekeeler Lorraine Keeler graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013 with a major in Environmental Studies, minor in Portuguese, and certificate in Latin American studies. She received the Boren Award for International Study in 2011 to study in Brazil during which she performed research with the Landless Worker's Movement (MST) in the south of the Amazonian state of Pará. Since graduating she has returned to work for CBMM, a mining and metalurgy company in Minas Gerais, Brazil. In the future she hopes to work in the field of sustainable development.
