Lorraine Keeler lorrainekeeler Lorraine Keeler graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013 with a major in Environmental Studies, minor in Portuguese, and certificate in Latin American studies. She received the Boren Award for International Study in 2011 to study in Brazil during which she performed research with the Landless Worker's Movement (MST) in the south of the Amazonian state of Pará. Since graduating she has returned to work for CBMM, a mining and metalurgy company in Minas Gerais, Brazil. In the future she hopes to work in the field of sustainable development.

Luis Intersimone Luis Intersimone Luis Alfredo Intersimone obtained his Ph.D. in Spanish at Rutgers University. He is currently assistant professor at Texas State University. He has published a book (De ogros y laberintos. Modernidad y nación en Octavio Paz [1999]) and several articles in academic journals such as LARR (Latin American Research Review), Hispanic Review, MLN, and A Contracorriente, among others. He is currently doing research on sovereignty, biopolitics, and political theology, issues all related to his original Ph.D. thesis project on Peronismo, melodrama and eschatology.

Luis F Jimenez luisjimenez Luis Jiménez is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. He specializes in immigration politics and Latin American politics. Currently he's working on a book that explores the impact of immigrants in the internal politics of Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador. He received his PhD in 2008 from the University of Pittsburgh.

Lucia Vodanovic lvodanovic Lucia Vodanovic completed her PhD in Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths College and now works as Lecturer in Journalism and Media at Middlesex University (London). Her research interests focus on the ideas of obsolescence and ephemerality; more recently, she has researched amateurism and its links with self-reliance and social aesthetics. Her edited collection, Disturbios Culturales (Ediciones UDP) appeared in 2012, and her work has also been featured in publications such as Journal of Visual Art Practice, Invisible Culture and Travesia: Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies.
